Order as Early as Possible to Avoid Shipping Delays

We’d just like to offer a gentle reminder that it is more important than ever right now to buy as early as possible in order to avoid shipping delays. There are three main reasons why your self-tanning order might not arrive on time if it’s placed too late. Two of them are long-standing, but they do bear repeating. The third is new and hopefully temporary, but who knows?

Increased Demand

From now until the end of the year, there will be more orders placed than at any other time of the year. Not only is everyone trying to fill their gift-giving list, but Black Friday and Cyber Monday offer deals on bestsellers and new products that lead to extra purchases within a very short period of time. This places such a strain on shipping companies that delays are inevitable. Placing your gift-shopping orders before those particular days means you have a better chance that they’ll be dispatched before the shipping companies get squeezed.

Extreme Weather

There is simply no way to predict exactly when or where extreme weather will hit, but you should probably assume there will be a storm somewhere in the country that will bring operations to a standstill. You should also keep in mind that even if it happens in a completely different part of the country from where you are or where your order is coming from, it could still cause a delay because planes and trucks just can’t safely get where they need to be to pick up or deliver.

When you order early, it buys you a little extra leeway to allow for delays. Sometimes, an extra day or two is enough.

Supply Chain Disruptions

The entire world has been in an upheaval over the last two years, and things have still not quite returned to normal. Though there has been a great deal of improvement, you can almost count on the fact that either one of the other two factors could postpone your shipment. If both occur at the same time, it will be a perfect storm of circumstances and you may not see your purchases arrive until after the New Year. The sooner you place your orders, the better your chances of having them arrive on time.
